The information in this Timeline of Events is pulled from public records request responses from Grant County Fire District 13 (FD13), the Douglas County Boundary Review Board (BRB), Douglas County Auditor and other departments, Rimrock Meadows Association (RMA) meeting minutes, and the Revised Code of Washington (RCW). The only records request outstanding is with RMA.

March 19: Date on FD13 2021 fire protection invoice for $6,500 (Link)
Sept. 3: Kevin Danby and FD13 Chief Jim Stucky suggest Rimrock look into annexation into a Douglas County fire district which would divide the expense between individual property owners via property tax versus RMA paying a lump sum annually; they also discussed “growing number of fires & fire response calls coming from RR”; training was offered for RR staff
Oct 2: Fireman Mike Stussy presented the three options: 1) continue the contract with FD13, 2) annexation into a fire district (which would also provide AD&D coverage to trained volunteers and employees), or 3) form a new district. Extensive discussion of options and costs.
RMA meeting minutes for Nov. 6, Dec. 8, and Dec. 11, 2021, contain no mention of fire district matters.
